Long before 360° experiences became a standard part of digital communication, Matthias Taugwalder realised pioneering projects — now regarded as benchmarks — for companies, agencies, museums and media houses. For Mammut #project360, he designed a 360° capture system for high-mountain use, carried by climbers on routes such as the Eiger North Face, the Matterhorn and El Capitan; in 2016 came the world's first complete 360° record of the southern route up Mount Everest. The same standard applies as in his own work: new formats when they serve the content — with the viewer at the centre, not the technology.
